As part of our business model, Arctern assigns each billable position to an operations manager who is a non-billable resource for the customer. Our goal is to ensure that your RemoteHire™ employees are always on the right track whether it is from a functional or operational standpoint. The extent to which Arctern’s operational manager is involved in a matrix reporting structure is set by you. The operations manager can be present for daily or weekly briefs and their objective is to be your eyes and ears at the RemoteHire™ employee’s location. They also act as the liaison and first point of escalation for each of the three entities in our triangulated business model – the customer, the employee, and Arctern.
Regardless of the country or culture, employees come in different forms. Some may need a higher level of oversight or hand-holding compared to others. Whether you want to track or manage the periodic time-log, status reports, holiday & leave management, delivery deadlines, appraisals, two-way feedback, incentives, or any other administrative, financial, or HR related issues or concerns, please count on your operations manager at Arctern.
We recommend that you deliberate with your assigned operations manager during the early recruitment stages and mutually determine the type of involvement required or desired. As the primary (functional) reporting entity for the employee is at the customer site, it is important that the customer communicates to their RemoteHire™ employee the extent to which the Arctern’s operations manager will be involved in matrix management to help them interact accordingly.
Typically, the involvement may be higher during the incubation and training stages until there is an increased understanding, trust, and working relationship formed between the US manager and RemoteHire™ employee.
